Alaşehir Bölgesinin Kırsal Turizm Potansiyelinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

As for tourism, sand, sea and sun are not the first things that come to mind anymore. Urban tourists who are bored by the classical concepts of tourism have started to search for alternative routes and as a result, an alternative type of tourism that is called agricultural tourism has aroused. Agricultural tourism can be regarded as a type of tourism that is fed from agriculture, houses agricultural activities in its center and develops rapidly in recent years. Agricultural tourism is an important tool for rural development because farmers can increase the income level of their households in their spare time and also protect the environment. Agricultural extension is a non-formal and voluntary education system aimed at helping farmers to develop in a social, economic and cultural way. In this study, possible contributions of agricultural extension activities to agriculture tourism were evaluated.
